  •   The middle letter always represents the last name.
  • If the monogram is the initials of 1 person, the left letter represents the first name, and the right letter represents the middle name.
  • If the monogram is a combination for a married couple, the left letter represents the wife's name, and the right represents the husband's.    
Here's what we suggest in using monograms for a wedding theme:
  • For save-the-dates, both bride and groom monograms are shown, or we can work the initials of both last names into a monogram.
  • For wedding invitation, if issued by the parents, the monogram is a combination of the parents' names if they are married. . However, some people prefer to use the bride's monogram, which is permissable.  Just the first letter of the last name is permissable as well.
         If the invitation is issued by the bride and groom, the same way as the save-the-dates applies.
  • Next comes the rehearsal dinner, which is usually given by the groom's parents in which case their combined monogram would be used if they are married. However, the groom's monogram is also permissable, and so is the first letter of his last name.
  • Now, the wedding ceremony! Your monogram theme can continue by using it on your wedding programs. Since you are not married at the time the guests are handed the programs, it is proper to either use both of your monograms, or use the initials of both last names into a monogram.

FIGURING 3" increments ON SPRAYS, GARLANDS, FLOURISHES
Examples:
        If you want a 3 inch garland on each of 10 table identification cards, you would enter 10 in the qty. column.
        If you want one 9 inch long garland to put on a menu, you would enter 3 in the qty. column, because there are 3 increments of 3 inches in 9 inches.  Feel free to contact us if you need assistance in figuring your order.  Click Contact Us
MEASURING  INVITATION  &  COMPONENTS  STOCK  FOR  CAMERA  READY
Hold each item as it will be printed (landscape or portrait). The first measurement will be from left to right; the second from top to bottom.  Example:  5x7
If there is a panel, border, or insignia on the stock, do not include these in your measurements. We only want the area where the  wording will be. If the stock is plain, give measurements of the full area. You must be exact on these measurements.
Tip: You can have your invitation retailer measure for you, but be sure they go by our measurement instructions.
If you purchase your invites from Lyncrist, no need to include measurements. We will have them.
